Every artist has a story behind the music — mine began with rejection.
When I started my journey in Benin City, the dream of making music wasn’t easy to chase. Studios were few, resources were limited, and people told me to “be realistic.” But music was never just a dream to me — it was the only way I knew how to speak. Every beat, every lyric, every rhythm became my diary.
When I moved between Lagos and the UK, I carried those early lessons with me. There were times I couldn’t afford studio sessions, times when I performed in tiny rooms to only a handful of people. But every “no” shaped the artist I am today — patient, grounded, and relentless.
My sound became my strength — a reflection of everything I’ve lived through: the struggle, the growth, and the belief that no journey is wasted if you keep walking.
Today, when fans message me saying a song like “My Strength” or “Gbido” gave them motivation, I remember all those nights when I almost gave up. That’s why I make music — not just to be heard, but to help someone else keep going.
This isn’t just a story about success. It’s about turning setbacks into sound.
And if you’re reading this, maybe it’s a reminder that your voice, your story, and your rhythm all matter — even when the world goes quiet.
